Ford GT super car in Grid race game!
/This is about a modern Ford GT super car I was hired to record for GRID, a multi award winning race video game by Codemasters. When you drive the Ford GT in the game, the recordings came from this car!!
This Super Car is now worth well over $1 Million dollars…
12 recording channels was required to capture Onboard sounds. Mic brands were DPA, Røde, Sennheiser, Shure, etc. In the cab was a Soundfield SPS200 ambisonic mic. External mic was a Sennheiser MKH-418s MS (mid side) shotgun mic. Onboard recorders were Sound Devices 788T-SSD and Zoom F8n (with time code) housed in a K-Tek Stingray Small bag. External Recorder was a Sound Devices 744T housed in a K-Tek Stingray Junior bag.
