Just Cause 3 - new game release!

Just released today is Just Cause 3, Avalanche Studio's AAA title game. It's available for XBox One, Playstation 4, and PC (Steam). I was hired to field record various "things". Go out and buy a copy Today!

Field recording a large yacht. A total of 7 mics were used to capture sounds from the engine room etc areas. These rear mics were used to capture water churning sounds.

For the love of field recording, I kept going! The only thing that worried me was that my puking sounds may have ruined the recordings. Fortunately, during playback, I couldn't hear those unwanted nasty sounds.

Field Recording Gear: Sound Devices 788T-SSD 8 track recorder, two 442 field mixers, and Remote Audio super headphones. The Rode Dead Wombat (fur) was used as protection from light rain.

My Clemson University Speech

Clemson University in South Carolina flew me in to give a speech to their performing arts students and faculty about what I do. The following is a 48 minute long video. You will have to turn up and down your volume during the viewing.

New game release! Need for Speed 2015

I was hired to field record a Scion FR-S sports car for EA's Need for Speed 2015 video game. Today is the official release available for XBox One, PS4, and PC. I rigged a total of 7 mics OnBoard the modified car and also tracked it with an External M/S stereo shotgun mic.
